STORY COACHING
After 10 years of seeing pieces read or performed on stage, I have a feel for what works, what jokes will hit, and how to grab and hold an audience. I’ve helped with thousands of Taboo Tales, several TedTalks, speeches, presentations, eulogies, and lots of lots of wedding vows. The goal is to get to know you and package up your personality into a tale that makes you seem credible, smart, funny or weepy or however you want to be. But most importantly, you.
NARRATIVE THERAPY
Odds are, you have a therapist. Maybe two. In Los Angeles, there isn’t an alive person who hasn’t started a sentence with, “My therapist says…” Talk psychotherapy can be extremely helpful, but it’s limited to what you think up in the office. Narrative therapy delves a bit deeper in that I give you a homework writing assignment based on what’s coming up for you in the moment. You see what comes out in the writing, and we go from there, hopefully helping you to come to realizations about yourself that may have taken longer otherwise.
