Do you work in a place with people?

Do you want them to get along?

Do you want them to jump out of bed every morning because they can’t wait to get to work to see all their BFFs?

Then, let’s do some team building. No ropes course involved.

STORY CIRCLES. ON STAGE. AT WORK

Ronnie from accounting was a Playboy Bunny?
Ted, the CFO, grew up in a van?
Barb in media is an heiress?? WHAT?

Sharing stories with friends is one thing, but opening up at work can lead to some crazy, unlikely friendships and bonds.

Through 5-weeks of circling up after work or a daylong intensive at the office, I’ll lead employees through writing exercises to get the intimacy flowing.

Everyone finds a story inside to share with the group. We finesse it until it’s funny and surprising and ready for the stage! In one final meeting, we’ll put on a show, your employees the stars. They can perform in front of the whole agency, their family, or just each other.

No writing experience necessary. Just a willingness to get to know each other better.

We’ve circled up with lawyers, ad agencies, and several non-profits. AHF (AIDS healthcare foundation) nominated one person from each group to attend, bringing together the often separated trans, lesbian, gay, and support staff. The final show was a beautiful reunion of all groups.

"Doing a Taboo Tales show was incredible. I can't believe I got to talk about myself for so long in front of all the people I love and work with. And tell my true story. It felt good to really talk about the trans experience with people who are supposed to be our allies. They need to know. Plus, I got to know about them too. I think our groups will forever be bonded."
